Sometimes I get frustrated when I go grocery shopping because it seems, at times, that gluten is in everything. I hate buying packed seasonings, too, because it tends to have added preservatives in it as well.
And so, in my efforts to slowly be conscious of everything I eat, I decided to make my own southwest seasoning. I think it turned out really well!
Easy, Healthy, Tasty Southwest Taco Seasoning
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- combine all ingredients in a bowl and season as desired.
I made this amount and had about half leftover from seasoning 1 lb of ground turkey.
What do you think? Would you try this homemade southwest seasoning recipe? Pin and share and let me know what you think!
In peace & health,
