As I wade deeper into the pool of healthy living, I want to start making subtle changes in the products I use every day. One of them is deodorant. I’ve never liked the aluminum count in traditional deodorants, hearing the warnings against them. But I can’t go deodorant-less: let’s be honest, we all need it once in awhile!
A few weeks ago I saw someone on Instagram post about The Honest Company’s all-natural deodorant. “What?” I said to myself, “I think I need to give this a try!”
[If you’ve never heard of The Honest Company, you should check it out. They make a ton of wonderful, all-natural products for your baby, house, home, and yourself. I can’t wait to try more out post-wedding!]
Target is starting to sell more of The Honest Company products at Target, but not the deodorant. Drat. So I ordered it and gave it a try.
Review: The Honest Company all-natural deodorant
The first thing that threw me off was that it was a spray-on deodorant. I’ve always been a stick deodorant kinda gal, so this was a little off-putting. But if it eliminated the aluminum deodorants from my life, what was the big deal?
I loved the light smell of citrus and sage (right up my alley in the world of scents!), but I wasn’t a fan of the alcohol in the product, which stung post-shaving. It wasn’t a complete anti-perspirant, so I still sweat here and there on occasionally high-stress days, but it still did the job for me. Another huge plus is that I’m using it up really slowly, which might make it even more cost-effective compared to traditional deodorants. I really like this product and will continue to use it!
Look of product: 5/5
Ease of use: 5/5
Price: 4/5 (a little pricey, but possibly using a referral link can save you money)
Quality of product: 4.5/5
Overall: 4.5/5. I still get sweaty here and there, but I’m happy to stray away from traditional deodorants for this.
Would you try The Honest Company Deodorant? Let me know!
In peace & health,
