Train Insane or Remain the Same: My Review of Insanity: Max 30 (so far)

One of my favorite quotes is, “In order for you to get something you’ve never had, you have to do something that you’ve never done.” I think this is so true! Everything we’ve done so far in our lives was new at some point, and we tend to create this bubble that surrounds us with our current habits and choices.

But what if we were uncomfortable for a short amount of time in order to push through our old “bubble” of habits…in order to carve ourselves a new path? What if we allowed ourself to take that leap of faith?





I continue to try and do the things I used to tell myself that I couldn’t do…..and one of them is completing the Insanity workout program. 


I am now in week 2 of Insanity: Max 30, the new workout program from Beachbody. Each workout encourages you to “max out”, or reach your maximum level of effort. Then you write down where you maxed out and see your progress over the course of 8 weeks.


The program, so far, is challenging and thrilling at the same time: I’m getting stronger, and I can tangibly see that with my max out times! While I haven’t lost much weight, I’m losing the holiday “fluff” I allowed myself to have during the month of November. This program is keeping me on track during the holidays– who else can say that?! On top of that, I am living guilt-free during the holidays as a result. If I eat healthy 80% of the time and stress eat after a long day (who does that? *raises hand*), I let it go. I’m human, and this time of year is extremely difficult.
