Today I’m going to share something that the fiancé and I make about once a week: smooth, creamy hummus!
Homemade hummus recipe
1/4 cup tahini paste (I get mine from Whole Foods, it’s like $6 and lasts for a long time)
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp minced garlic
2 tbsp olive oil
1 can chickpeas
2 tbsp water
Blend tahini paste and lemon juice in food processor.
Add salt, garlic and olive oil to the mix; blend on low for 1-2 minutes.
Drain and wash the can of chickpeas. Add half of the chickpeas; blend for 2-3 minutes. Add the other half of the chickpeas; blend for another 2-3 minutes.
Lastly, add 2 tbsp of water and blend for another minute. This will smooth it out and make it just a bit thinner!
Enjoy it is SO good!
Bon áppetit, my gluten-free readers!
In peace and health- xo
