How to eat two bananas one week after jaw surgery

My morning smoothie

This morning I wanted to make two smoothies. This one is very simple and gave me a boost before my second breakfast:

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 1/2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • a dash of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Maca powder (optional)
  • a bit of ice and water, blended

The result? A quick, easy, two-banana smoothie the second I wake up. It was a little too sweet for me, but it was very easy to make, AND it introduced me back into the world of almond butter once more, post-op. (Oh, how I’ve missed you.)

*DISCLAIMER: This recipe does not have a lot of protein in it! I only made this to jump start my breakfast, and it won’t sustain me for the entire morning. But it gave me a little boost.
