Recently I bought “Raw Energy: 124 Raw Food Recipes for Energy Bars, Smoothies, and Other Snacks to Supercharge your Body” for my Kindle. I finally have the time to start reading it! Although I am not trying to adapt a completely raw eating lifestyle, I think it’s important to try and seek help in your health goals from many sources.
I had the chance to go out of town for two days as a wintry escape from work and life, and found the book’s emphasis on snacking ideal. Snacking, to me, is as important as meals! Everyone snacks on small foods. If we didn’t snack and, instead, denied the hunger when it arrived, we risk denying the need for keeping one’s blood sugar elevated. I know that I’ve discussed snacking before- and, trust me, I will again- but I think it’s vital to remind ourselves that snacking smart is so necessary, especially while traveling.
