Product Review: Rise Nutrition Bars

Today I’m reviewing a product that, surprisingly, I bought as a Groupon: Rise Energy Bars. Each pack of 12 had five different flavor options (four of which are pictured): Cranberry Pomegranate, Coconut Açai, Cherry Almond, Apricot Goji, and Coconut Blueberry.

Rise Energy Bars

How does it look?

Each bar looks, well, like a fruit bar. Its texture is dense and moist and combines fruit with different nuts. They advertise that they are made with no preservatives, no GMOs, no dairy, no soy, and no peanuts!

How does it taste?

Each bar is really delicious! It’s naturally very sweet and has a natural taste. My favorite is the blueberry coconut. It has the potential to quench your sweet tooth on-the-go, so I recommend putting these everywhere (in your car, purse, office desk drawer) when you need something quick and easy to eat.

The Cons:

Yes, each bar is very delicious, but it doesn’t pack too much protein. While it satisfies your hunger quickly, I cannot guarantee that it will for too long. I would pair it with almonds for more hunger-busting help.

Overall Review

These bars were great for the Groupon price, but I’m not sure I’d spend more than $1 each on these. They are delicious and very easy to pack (even if they become heated in the sun, they are still intact and ready to be eaten), but they may not satisfy your hunger for more than 45 minutes-1 hour. Rise sells a protein-packed bar, which may be something to look into. However, these energy bars would be ideal for a pre-workout snack!
